Natalie is a type designer from Berlin.

It took some time till Natalie realised her heart lies in letters. After diving into pedagogy, business and linguistics, she eventually and wholeheartedly settled for design.

After studying Communication Design and focussing on type design and typography at HTW Berlin, Natalie decided to do her Master’s in Typeface Design at the University of Reading (UK) in 2014.

In 2021 Natalie joined lovely TypeMates halftime and currently splits her time between the work at TypeMates, independent freelance jobs and her own typefaces. She has worked on several (multi-script) projects with different clients and type foundries, such as The Fontpad, Mota Italic, bBox Type, Supertype, Fontef and more. Since 2018 she also spreads her letter love by teaching students in “Digitale Schriftgestaltung” at AID Berlin.

Natalie enjoys opening new packets of coffee, sorting random things and doing yoga.

Maybe you can do your thing with her too.

Say hello, ask something, work with her.
