Wendung is a typeface that is inspired by a Dutch architecture magazine from the 1920s called Wendingen. Type served a very decorative purpose in this varying and interdisciplinary art magazine.

 

My display typeface Wendung consists of strongly constructed shapes that are connected to the nature of architecture. It explores the boundaries of legibility, pattern making and extremes whilst posing one main question: how far can it go? Natalie is about to find out.
